ttc question
Hi all
I'm a bit lost. I was 5 days late for my period this month. I've been keeping track of my p for 5 cycles now and here is a run down: 5th July to 9th July 27th July to 31 July 20th Aug - 24th Aug 13 sep - 17 sep 9th Oct - current so my periods have now gone from 22 day cycle to 24 day cycle and current 26 day cycle so now completly confused as to when I will ovulate this time round. My other question would be would the above be considered as irregular periods????? April -- www.freewebs.com/lastchancerabbitrescue |

They were really short to begin with, and are getting longer to the "norm"
so that would be a good thing, as best I can tell. You should probably start tracking your basel body temps, so you will know exactly when you actually did ovulate on any particular cycle, and if your leutal phase (the time from ovulation to your period) is long enough to allow conception to occur. 12-14 days is good, 10 is short, and 8 is not workable. So you want to be sure that you are ovulating about 14 days before your next period starts, give or take. At this point, while you track your temps, you should be having sex every other day from cd8 through cd16. That should ensure that even if your next cycle is 28 days long, you would have had sex either on or around ovulation, whether it occurs on cd12, cd13, or cd14. Good luck! I would not call that irregular periods at all. The book Jamie recommended
is excellent and tells you so much about your body in general (prob more than you'd ever want to know!). You can find cheap copies on ebay, or maybe Amazon too. I thought I was having irregular patterns until I realized that I was not always counting the first day of bleeding as day 1. Someone once told me it's the first day of bright red blood, and others said it's the first day of any bleeding or spotting and now that I write this I don't remember which one is right. But that could fairly quickly straighten out your extra days. Charting is the absolute best way. I got pregnant first time of trying both times using charting. Buy the book Good luck!
