They don't care if anyone (read: NCP) can "afford more debt", they just want to make more criminals to chase after. But whereas I didn't want to make a laundry list... those items (and I'm sure a lot more) come under the heading of "care and attention". And to repeat myself - that's not what politicians see... nor even want to see (including letting the masses in on it). |

I think it's a GREAT mistake for fathers to dispute the "deadbeat DADS" label. To try to have it changed to "deadbeat parents" only plays into the hands of those who want to camouflage the anti-father and anti-male bias that permeates this whole system. It should be enough for fathers to know that the bureaucrats who work the CS system, and who are the strongest protectors of the status quo, want to turn "deadbeat dads" into "deadbeat parents." Why? Because they know they become vulnerable when it becomes clear that this is a mechanism for forcing fathers to pay money to mothers. There's a glass ceiling on paternal custody, and in the tiny handful of cases where fathers have custody, they don't get CS. Far better for fathers to focus on the bias of the system. Far better to ask the question: Just why is so much government effort put into the operation of a system that is so obviously biased against fathers? |
