Do you have the option of using a newsreader? I use Outlook Express,
and you see your posts immediately there.

You have to set up the news section of the program. I use it too, and it is
much easier. Go to tools, then accounts, and click on the news tab. From
there, you would have to know which news server your ISP uses, and fill it
in the same way you would set up an email account. Then you can use it the
same way you check your email.
