Three WFC Council members to help babies?
PREGNANT WOMEN: Please forward this to your chiropractors - and to your
MD-obstetricians... MD-obstetricians are senselessly closing birth canals up to 30% and gruesomely manipulating most babies' spines. It's EASY to allow your birth canal to OPEN the "extra" up to 30%. See below. WORLD FEDERATION OF CHIROPRACTIC OPEN LETTER (archived for global access: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2273) Bruce Vaughan, DC ) Council Member World Federation of Chiropractic/WFC Bruce, THANKS (again) for expressing appreciation for my thoughts. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2270 Paul F. Carey, DC ) acknowledged receipt of my thoughts too. See the forwarded post below. WFC Council member Chris Neethling, DC ) also acknowledged receipt of my thoughts pejoratively... See: African chiropractors: Did Dr. Neethling receive 'rubbish'? http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2068 Paul is now WFC president and you're WFC immediate-past-president. http://www.wfc.org/english/contact.asp And you're on WFC's Health-For-All Committee... All babies deserve maximal outlet area at delivery. Surely you three WFC Council members can finally get WFC involved in stopping MDs from closing birth canals. Maybe the other WFC personnel I'm copying will help get the ball rolling. Thanks, Sincerely, Todd Dr. Gastaldo Copied to: Various WFC persons listed at http://www.wfc.org/english/contact.asp (except Rand Baird who has informed me in effect that WFC could not possibly ask WHO for help in stopping the obvious massive MD spinal manipulation crime). PS Again, you wrote: "Rabid Dogs in the East...does not pull any punches or hide the anger..." http://home.netvigator.com/~brusinc/the_book.htm It's time for all DCs to express some anger... MD-OBSTETRICIANS ARE **KNOWINGLY** CLOSING BIRTH CANALS UP TO 30%. SIMPLE PROOF... The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist's/ACOG's Shoulder Dystocia video purports to tell MDs how to OPEN the birth canal when baby's shoulders get stuck - which obviously means that MD-obstetricians know they are closing birth canals. WORSE: The ACOG method for opening the birth canal when baby's shoulders get stuck (PROPER (bad) McRoberts) - actually keeps the birth canal closed! See IMPROPER McRoberts can save tiny lives and tiny limbs... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chiro-list/message/1308 FURTHER PROOF (that MDs know they are closing birth canals)... The British National Health Service/NHS West Midlands Perinatal Institute/WMPI (Jason Gardosi, MD, Director) writes of the semirecumbent delivery position (semisitting): "...the weight of the mother is in part taken on the sacrum which is therefore pushed upwards, thus decreasing the antero-posterior diameter of the pelvic outlet..." http://www.wmpi.net/reviews/oe/oe_shoulder_dystocia.htm OBSTETRIC SPINAL MANIPULATION CRIME In addition to routinely closing birth canals up to 30%, MDs often GRUESOMELY manipulate babies' spines (push with oxytocin; pull with forceps/vacuums) with the birth canal senselessly closed up to 30%. An estimated six babies per day DIE from vacuum-assisted spinal manipulation alone - with birth canals senselessly closed up to 30%. See again: How NOT to do McRoberts maneuver... http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...ssage/2258Todd PREGNANT WOMEN: To offer your baby the up to 30% "extra" - simply roll onto your side as you push your baby out! Talk to your MD or CNMwife NOW - before your delivery! BUT BEWA Some MDs and CNMwives may still close your birth canal (!), as in, "[M]ost doctors and [nurse] midwives are accustomed to the semisitting position...[T]hey may be willing to let you try other positions, if you ask...[But]...as you get close to delivery...[they] may ask you to move to [semisitting]..." [Simkin, P, Whalley J, Keppler, A. Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Newborn: The Complete Guide (Expanded and updated). Meadowbrook Press: Minnetonka, MN (dist. by Simon and Schuster). 2001:201] Bruce, 4.6% of "healthy" term babies are born with unexplained brain bleeds! It's sort of a chiropractic emergency. Please help stop MDs from closing birth canals. Please share this info with as many pregnant women as possible. Dr. Gastaldo Here is Paul's acknowledgement of receipt of my message to him almost two years ago... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dr. Paul F. Carey" To: "Todd Gastaldo" Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2002 10:15 PM Subject: Benjamin's birth (also: Ending 'chiropractic' manipulation by MDs) Thank you for the message. PFC ----- Original Message ----- From: Todd Gastaldo To: ; ; ; ; ; ; Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2002 2:21 PM Subject: Benjamin's birth (also: Ending 'chiropractic' manipulation by MDs) Attention Paul Carey, DC (Haldeman et al.): Please see my Open Letter below. PREGNANT WOMEN: DeeDee Grant had to INSIST that she be able to birth little Benjamin side-lying! She reports that after discussing the matter with her doctor "like 3 or 4 times" during her pregnancy, her doctor asked her at the delivery, "May I ask why?" as she told him she was turning onto her side. (!) See quote below. Side-lying is probably the easiest way to open your birth canal up to 30%. But hands-and-knees, kneeling, crouching on one knee, standing (my wife stood from a squat) - LOTS of delivery positions are better than semisitting and dorsal - both of which *close* the birth canal up to 30%... PLEASE... Talk to your MD about this NOW - before your delivery. Some mothers/subscribers to misc.kids.pregnancy have been discussing finding competent practitioners of the spinal manipulation part of chiropractic... Tecia asked for my input... http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...00005310%40 m b-fp.aol.com I have no specific recommendations. BE ADVISED: The spinal manipulation part of chiropractic is NOT risk-free - but adverse events appear to be "vanishingly rare," as in this quote from SAN DIEGO PHYSICIAN magazine... "Although high-velocity chiropractic adjustment has been associated with vertebral artery dissection, the best studies show this is vanishingly rare." --James S. Grisolia, MD [SAN DIEGO PHYSICIAN / January 2000] A chiropractor just recently adjusted my upper cervical spine using a high-velocity/low amplitude technique. HUGE audible release (as usual). I always feel better after such spinal adjustments. NOTE: Not all DCs use high-velocity/low amplitude adjusting - some use low force techniques that usually don't involve any audible releases in the spine. I mention adjustment of adults here - because MKP moms are talking about it - and to underscore a key difference between adjustment of adults and babies... DCs who adjust BABIES - *delicately* adjust - and some parents report that DCs seem to relieve problems apparently caused by birth trauma. One DC I know of, adjusts the jaws of babies who are having trouble nursing. (It is possible that some babies' jaws get caught on sacral tips and are wrenched at delivery.) Were I a mother with a newborn, I would *definitely* visit a DC after the birth - for my baby - even if the birth canal was opened maximally at delivery. For e-mail addresses of DCs who DELICATELY adjust babies, you might contact Jeanne Ohm, DC - she is a Fellow of the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association. REMEMBER... Whereas MDs GRUESOMELY (sometimes fatally) manipulate most babies' spines at birth... DCs *delicately* adjust - and sometimes seem to relieve problems caused by apparent birth trauma. Keep in mind though: There is NO scientific evidence (that I know of) that delicate postpartum spinal manipulation of babies helps - but I believe it does. Onward... Since MDs GRUESOMELY (sometimes fatally) manipulate most babies' spines at birth - sometimes pulling so hard that spinal nerves are ripped out of tiny spinal cords... I must say I agree with Paul Carey, DC (Haldeman et al.)... "It is probable that the experience of chiropractors does not reflect all dissections that occur following cervical manipulation...." --Paul Carey, DC [Haldeman et al. CMAJ . October 2, 2001; 165 (7)] http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/full/...=db0JkdVVfNCBw OPEN LETTER (misc.kids.pregnancy, misc.health.alternative, sci.med) Paul Carey, DC President Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association (CCPA) 89 Waterloo St. S Stratford ON N5A 4B1 CANADA fax 519 273-4161; Hi Paul, MD-obstetricians are the most prolific spinal manipulators, manipulating the cervical spines of MOST babies at birth - gruesomely - sometimes fatally. MD-obstetricians routinely PULL on fetal heads sticking out vaginas senselessly closed up to 30% - pulling HARD in 10 to 15% of births - reaching INSIDE vaginas - with forceps and/or vacuum extractors - dragging babies by their skulls through birth canals senselessly closed up to 30%. MD-obstetricians often force uteri to PUSH on fetal spines with birth canals senselessly closed up to 30% - sometimes forcing uteri to push VIOLENTLY (using oxytocin or Cytotec) - sometimes fatally. An estimated 4.6% of "healthy" term babies are born with unexplained brain bleeds; and Australian obstetrician Norman Beischer, MD has guessed that 10 to 15% of stillbirths were just fine right before delivery - yet coroners reportedly do not investigate cause of death in stillbirths. See Strokes in babies? (also: Chiropractic warriors: Terrett was wrong.) http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...%40newsread 1 .prod.itd.earthlink.net Since MD-obstetricians are the most prolific spinal manipulators... Since MD-obstetricians are obviously GRUESOME spinal manipulators... It may indeed be "probable that the experience of chiropractors does not reflect all dissections that occur following cervical manipulation." http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/full/...=db0JkdVVfNCBw Regardless, though, whether MD-obstetricians are causing STROKES in babies by closing birth canals up to 30% - they *are* causing DEATHS - with the authors of Williams Obstetrics *acknowledging* that closing the birth canal far LESS than 30% can be fatal. This rather obvious *criminal negligence* (that sometimes escalates to *criminally negligent homicide*) MIGHT explain why MD-obstetrician experts have been telling obvious lies in an attempt to cover-up the massive crime against mothers and babies. http://home1.gte.net/gastaldo/part2ftc.html MDs and DCs alike should IMMEDIATELY take the steps necessary to **STOP** MD-obstetricians from routinely closing birth canals up to 30%. Attention MD-obstetricians: If you must pull on babies' heads - and sometimes you must - first get the woman off her sacrum - or better yet - don't put her there to push her baby out in the first place! MD-obstetricians are closing birth canals up to 30% (moving women to semisitting) - even when women spontaneously choose other birth positions! According to Simkin et al. [2001]: "[M]ost doctors and [nurse] midwives are accustomed to the semisitting position...[T]hey may be willing to let you try other positions, if you ask...[But]...as you get close to delivery...[they] may ask you to move to [semisitting]..." [Simkin, P, Whalley J, Keppler, A. Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Newborn: The Complete Guide (Expanded and updated). Meadowbrook Press: Minnetonka, MN (dist. by Simon and Schuster). 2001:201] One MD-obstetricians didn't get the biomechanics even after being told ("like 3 or 4 times") about the "extra" 30% that is available! DeeDee Grant wrote the following in her story of the April 19, 2002 birth of little Benjamin Thomas... "...Then at about 5 minutes of 4 in the morning, it's just Andy and me in the room, and I'm saying 'I'm feeling pushy!!!' So Andy runs to get someone, and my doc. and 2 nurses rush into the room. Meanwhile I'm ***trying*** to move onto my side. My doc. says 'what are you doing?' And I say, 'I'm not delivering this baby on my back!' He says, 'may I ask why?' And I try explaining about Todd Gastaldo and the extra 30%. Which makes no sense to him even though I'd mentioned it to him like 3 or 4 times during my pregnancy. Anyway, I finally get my beached whale sized ass movedonto my side, and..." http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e....supernews. c om DeeDee, THANK you for posting the story of little Benjamin's birth... Depending on your own body's sacroiliac motion, you may have opened your birth canal MORE than 30% "extra"! Years ago when Williams Obstetrics co-author Norman Gant, MD telephoned me, I told him that the *original* author of Williams Obstetrics found a woman in whom there was 4 cm of sacral tip excursion. Norman replied that he thinks it's MORE in some women - but that women don't really need the "extra" room - which is probably what your MD was thinking. Arrgghhh! What about BABIES? Carlene Rummery wrote: "You do realize you are going to make it into one of Todd's posts now? Woohoo!" http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...%40news1.mt s .net Carlene was right. I hope you don't mind. Thank you for reading me and for mentioning both me and the up to 30% of pelvic outlet area that is so easily available to mothers and babies. How GREAT that you informed your MD - "like 3 or 4 times" - before you performed. How great that you INSISTED that Benjamin have all the pelvic outlet area available to him. BRAVO! (READERS: My mention of these ladies does NOT mean they agree with everything - or even anything - I say - though DeeDee and Carlene do appear to agree with me that babies should have maximal outlet area at delivery. My hypothesis is that when MDs start allowing birth canals to open maximally, they will be doing FAR less spinal manipulation at birth.) PREGNANT WOMEN: Side-lying - the position DeeDee used to birth little Benjamin - is probably the easiest way to open your birth canal up to 30%. But hands-and-knees, kneeling, crouching on one knee, standing (my wife stood from a squat) - LOTS of delivery positions are better than semisitting and dorsal - both of which *close* the birth canal up to 30%... Talk to your MD about this NOW - before your delivery - maybe talk to him or her FIVE times... : ) Paul, this is a chiropractic emergency of monumental proportions: MD-obstetricians are ignoring the most important part of the spinal manipulation end of chiropractic - knowing when NOT to manipulate the spine. Worse, one of the most prominent DCs in America (Flesia) is advising other prominent DCs *not* to work to stop MDs from closing birth canals up to 30%! See Chiro vision! Breastimmunizations to childbirth! (Will TCC Pres-elect Brassard help?) http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...7983%40news r ead1.prod.itd.earthlink.net This latter post - "Chiro vision! Breastimmunizations to childbirth!" - discusses another bizarre fact about modern medicine - MDs are parading themselves as "pro-immunization" - even as they lie by omission - thereby denying massive numbers of babies massive numbers of free daily immunizations! Readers: Please ask yourselves why most Americans aren't aware that breastfeeding mothers scan their environments for pathogens and manufacture specific immunizations which they they "inject" with their breasts - DAILY... There is a kicker: These daily breastIMMUNIZATIONS reportedly make MD-needle-vaccinations work better! I submit that - just as very few women would adopt semisitting and dorsal delivery positions if properly informed that these positions close the birth canal up to 30% - very few women would fail to at least attempt to breastfeed if properly informed that breastfeedings are breastIMMUNIZATIONS. Roughly half of all babies in America do not receive a DROP of free daily immunizations (breastmilk)!! Child abuse - physical and immunologic - are RAMPANT - due to medical acts of omission... I have long been in favor of pardons in advance for MDs - to speed an end to the senseless suffering (and sometimes death) of mothers and babies. See The cruelest lies: DON'T punish MDs (or MBs) http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...1230%40news r ead2.prod.itd.earthlink.net MDs are just academic prime cuts forced through this culture's most powerful mental meat grinder - medical school. Paul, will you please copy me ) when you forward this e-mail to all members of the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association (CCPA)? Thank you. Sincerely, Todd Dr. Gastaldo POSTSCRIPT I once quoted Kapral and Bondy (with bracketed modifications): "Given the potentially devastating consequences of [spinal nerve avulsion following gruesome manipulation of most babies' spines by MDs], physicians and chiropractors should discuss this risk, however small it might be, with [pregnant women who are] contemplating [letting MDs perform such gruesome neck manipulation on their babies]." --Moira Kapral, MD --Susan Bondy, PhD --modifed [brackets] by Gastaldo http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/full/165/7/907 I wrote: CORRECTION: Kapral and Bondy were discussing *arterial dissection* following spinal manipulation in humans much older than babies...
