Default 40 w 1d update

I'm still pregnant. I am now 2 days past my EDD, with nary a contraction in
sight. I've been walking and trying other things (ahem) to help out. I am
just one big walking Braxton-Hicks contraction (not painful at all).

At yesterday's appointment I was still not dilated. His head is in firing
position, but he appears to just want to hang out and relax. We discussed
making an inducement date at my next appointment, if the kiddo has not shown
up yet. I was then sent for a NST as I mentioned that the baby is still
moving, but appears to be slowing down. Results came back great, the baby
is doing well. I have another NST scheduled for next week as well.

My family was all excited about me having a 4th of July baby...but I think
that this little guy is going to hold out a bit longer.

My husband thinks that I will be going from 0-10 in a matter of hours...
when labor kicks in...its really gonna kick in.

Here's hoping

Oh, I hope he's right...but not *too* right. Those quick, ground zero to
birth labors can be tough. I have a friend who has had three super rapid
labors. Lightning quick, but intense.

Hang in there, and try to wait as long as possible before an induction.

I hear you, the quick dilation. I remember reading on this newsgroup
how intense it was.

By the time the induction will be scheduled, I will be 41 weeks 1 day...I
hope to go naturally.

I can't imagine how you feel. The day before my due date is as far as I've
had to go. Hang in there and I hope something happens soon.

It's hard to wait! But don't agree to being induced as long as your NSTs are
okay! Do keep trying "other things." :-)

I did, and it was really fantastic - came in 2 cm dilated (and I was 1 cm
dilated and 25% effaced for *weeks*) at midnight, and at 2 am - our DD was
born:-)

Wishing you a speedy labour,

Elly

Which is the average length for first time pregnancy :-) I'll bet you'll
deliver before your 41w1d appt. or be in labor that day--that's my
prediction! ****labor vibes****labor vibes*****labor vibes*****
